is used as a medium of exchange and for payments. It has no physical form and
is not issued by a central bank, therefore it is not insured by deposit
insurers like the NDIC. Cryptocurrency is sometimes referred to as virtual or
digital currency. The first cryptocurrency is the Bitcoin created in 2009.
